Saddles and Tack For Sale

Lisa loves buying, selling, and collecting saddles and tack. We receive numerous requests
and questions concerning saddle fitment for gaited horses. So she decided to purchase some
new saddles that we have found with rare exception always seem to fit both horse and rider
well. Through the years we have learned many things about gaited horses, most times by
simple trial and error. One thing that always seems to prove true is that you get what you
pay for and that is just a true for saddles/tack as it is for horses, cars, clothes, you name it.
These are all new/nearly new brand names (Circle Y, Crates, The Tennessean by Crates
Leather, Tucker, etc.) as it seems you just can't get what is needed from cheaply made tack.
 If a really great pair of leather boots can cost $100-$250, how in the world could anyone
produce a saddle worth putting on your horse for just a few hundred dollars. It truly isn't
voodoo magic to get a saddle that really fits your gaited trail horse the way a saddle should,
to encourage both comfort for all as well as gait. It's only a matter of choosing high quality
tack that was designed around all the basics of building a great saddle, not a cheap saddle.

Custom Made Circle Y "Silver Series" Equitation Show Saddle-Bridle-Breast Collar 16"
Now this saddle is not for trail riding but if you have a hankering to really "show off" then this is definitely
what you're gonna' need to get it done. Lisa bought this set many years ago from it's original owner who had
it custom ordered and made just to suit him. She was thinking of showing a little but we just trail ride and she
did not ride it a half dozen times. It has spent it's life here on display inside the house so she decided to sell it a
few other tack items that are just too nice not to be getting used. The tooling is so deep and crisp that it looks
more like carved wood and the silver is Sterling Overlay with each piece being original to the saddle and the
tooling was done to perfectly accommodate the exact shape of each piece. There is absolutely no discoloration
anywhere, the suede seat is almost flawless, and the silver shines like new. The stirrups are pre-turned and show
little to no wear. Because it was a custom order Circle Y did not have the exact specs on record so what is listed
here are the measurements we took from the saddle and are as follows; Seat:  full 16", Gullet: full 7", Cantle
height: 3", Skirt: 28 1/2" long/ 15 1/2" wide, Weight: about 45lbs, Rigging: 3 way in-skirt, Built in 1990.
You will not find a saddle made anytime recently that will compare to the overall quality of this set and we have

Crates Supreme Trail/Pleasure Saddle 16"with matching leather saddle bags ...This is one of the
best trail/pleasure saddles made by Crates. The soft padded 16" seat is made with grain-out chap leather just
like the saddle bags. A deep basket weave stamp accents the skirts, pommel. cantle, and fenders. The silver
conchos set of the extra long saddle strings and add just enough to make it pretty yet functional. The stirrups
are pre-turned to reduce stress on the rider's knees and ankles and the leather is all select. It features a Steele
brand Equi-Fit trail/quarter horse bar with a 6 5/8" gullet. It has 3-way in-skirt rigging along with stainless
rear D rings for adding a back cinch if wanted. This saddle will fit 99% of the gaited horses out there and give
the rider the same great comfort as the horse.

Circle Y Team Penner 17"... This may be one of the most comfortable riding, secure feeling saddles
I have ever ridden. One of my personal trail riding saddles is this exact saddle in a 16" seat so when we had
 the opportunity to get a couple more it didn't take a second to decide. This saddle was bought brand new and
  ridden by me (David) about six times and we have another one just like it that has been ridden about ten times
Pictures of the other saddle will be posted asap. These saddles have Softee fenders and seat jockeys to give
that "broken in" feel, and very close contact butterfly skirts to keep you in contact with your horse. Top that
off with pre-turned stirrups and it's hard to find a better sitting and riding saddle. The saddle features in-skirt
stainless steel J rigging up front and rear D rings complete with back cinch. These saddles now can only be
special ordered from Circle Y and then you have to wait for delivery. The saddle serial # is 16302701-05 and
the specifications according to Circle Y are as follows; Tree: Wood wrapped, Bars: Full Quarter Horse,
Gullet: 7", Skirt: 29"long/ 14" wide, Cantle: 3 1/2", Seat: 17", Weight: 32lbs.
